Happy Birthday Gianna!

I can't believe Gianna is one! Most people forgot and we didn't hear from most people but i guess thats what happens when you live so far away. Hopefully we will get a chance to celebrate with family when we are in Ma over the holidays. As for today we had a fabulous day just the four of us and went to the Nutcracker Ballet. Both girls enjoyed it! Then after a nice long nap we did presents and cake while Gee looked on from the camera phone! She loved all her gifts, like Elmo Alive from Auntie Karen and her sit and spin zebra from Gee! She also loved Madison's hand made card and muscial light up sea horse to help her in her car seat when its dark out. Gianna hates driving in the car at night!
I can't believe the year has gone by so quickly, I feel as if the 9 months I was pregnant took longer than Gianna's first year. I remember this day last year like it was just yesterday. I am sad that the year is over but I am in awe of all that Gianna has learned and all the love and joy she has brought into our lives. Madison has been a great helper to me and teacher to Gianna. She is such a nurturer!!

Blue Angels Homecoming 2008

Hi guys, we had a good time yesterday at the Blue Angels Homecoming Airshow. It was hot for mid November. It was 80, but humidity was through the roof. We were sitting in the sun when a man working for State Farm asked it we wanted to escape the sun, so he gave us wristbands for his chalet with free beer and soda and food, including front row seating in the shade at show center! What a great guy. Here are some pics. The green plane is Mike Goulian. He's an Red Bull Air Races Champ and he's from Maynard, MA!

Halloween

Madison and Gianna. Madison is Gisselle from Enchanted. This is the only pic I could get of Gianna in her dress!! We went to a halloween party and then a trick or treating on a hay ride in Madison's friend's neighborhood. Thats him in teh battleship trooper costume!

Madison was student of the week!

This was a big deal...she got to do all her paper work in COLORED markers instead of boring pencil and she was the teacher's helper all week! She also got to sit at her own cool desk!

PROWLERS!!!

Hey everyone! I just want to let everyone know I got EA-6B Prowlers, which is the jet I wanted, so needless to say we're pretty excited. The Prowler is the gray jet here. I will now move on to T-45 Goshawks to complete my training here in Pensacola. I will earn my precious "Wings of Gold" by the end of January. The T-45 is the white and orange jet here. After I wing, I will go to Whidbey Island, WA (an hour N of Seattle) to train in the Prowler for about a year. After I am a certified "ECMO" (Electronic Counter-Measures Officer) my duty station will be Cherypoint, NC which is actually 45 min from where we used to live. Gianna is a walker!

So, Madison was an early walker, took her first steps at 8 months, and was totally walking (and running) at 10 months. I was HOPING that Gianna wasn't going to be so adventurous! Not because i dont want her to walk, but because babies dont stay babies for very long and walking is one of those toddler milestones! But Gianna started walking a week ago and LOVES IT! So my second baby girl is a walker at 9 and a half months. Now she just needs to grow some hair!

I have lots of updates to get on this blog for you but this was the most exciting. I'll post otehrs when i have a sec!

Its been crazy here, (as usual!). Matt has 21 more events until he selects his aircraft and always seems to be out flying! I have started helping out in the weight room at the University down here, Madison is always busy with school, dance and all her friends, and of course Gianna is always busy exploring her world and trying to walk.
This weekend we went to some Fall Festivals, which can be hard to get into teh spirit of things when its 90 degrees and the leaves are all still on the trees! We had a good time though and Madison tried out the rock climbing wall.

Gianna's appointment

Hey everyone! For those of you who have been waiting to hear from us, I wanted to let you all know that Gianna's cardiology appointment went well today. The murmur is not a result of a heart defect! Yea! The doctor said she is healthy and beautiful! Thanks for all your prayers!!

almost 9 months!

I meant to do this a month ago, but you know how life can get in the way of some plans!! Here is a picture of Madison in September 2003. She is almost 8 months old. Here is a picture of Gianna Septmber 2008. She is almost 9 months old. I would put up a picture of me, but I look the exact same..i have not aged a bit! (HA! Nice try, right??)
